I'm off to Japan really soon, and to be honest, I'm not expecting to read a WHOLE lot on this trip because ... well, because I'll be in fricken Japan! BUT, that said, I have got a loooooong flight to entertain myself on (- especially if I can't sleep) So here is what I'm taking with me, and what I'm hoping to read through May:
Morning Star by Pierce Brown
I read Golden Son last month and the third and the final installment is definitely needed!
Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
An older release from Jodi Picoult I haven't read yet! #Rare. I'm looking forward to going back to some old school Jodi - my ultimate comfort reading :) This one is set within an Amish community so I'm very much looking forward to learning a bit about their lifestyle too. (I really enjoyed Jodi's latest book - Leaving Time - too, by the way! I've actually just lent/forced it out to one of my colleagues muahaha)
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
Book recommendations are everywhere at work right now! This was lent to me by my line manager who RAVES about it and it's sequel, My Friend Leonard. I'm pretty excited to get stuck in. It sounds like a gritty, tough read, but I am ready!
Watch The Lady by Elizabeth Freemantle
Elizabeth Freemantle is a wonderful writer of historical fiction - Queen's Gambit is one of my favourite Tudor books ever - and I can't wait to sink my teeth (eyes?) into another. She creates such brilliant characters out of famous historical figures that you really feel for. I picked up Watch The Lady for £1.99 on Kindle this month and I pretty much jumped for joy!
What are you reading in May?
